About
Tearstones, as the name may have suggested, are small, tangible stones shaped like teardrops. They are essentially "Experience Points" and are collected by your Aquine each time they appear in a work of art.

As your Aquine collects more Tearstones, their status will increase, thus eventually earning special statuses that reap special rewards. The rewards can range from bonus XP and Shards per artwork, access to higher ranking Quests and events, or even the Royal status which allows your Aquines to join the ranks of all the famous Aquines written down in Lore and passed down through history.

Unlike Shards, Tearstones are locked onto the Aquine that was used, and not the owner themselves. They cannot be sold, traded, gifted, exchanged or even given to your other Aquines, and they will never diminish in value. Once collected, the Aquine will own it for the rest of their life regardless of whether they have been given a new owner or not.

Counting Tearstones
Tearstones are calculated a bit differently to Shards. All Aquines in an artwork will receive 3 shards each. It doesn't matter why drew the image, they all receive the same shard amount.

Your Aquines will receive a bonus 2 Tearstones each if the artwork is a scene and they are interacting in some sort of manner that is more than just a basic standing or sitting pose. For example, examining flowers or objects, exploring Galacia etc.

Events, prompts, Quests and contests will all give bonus Tearstones but will differ from each type of event. You will find out how many bonus Tearstones you get on the event itself.
Base Tearstones per Aquine: 3
Bonus for Scenes and Stories: +2
Events: Judged manually.
Crafts, pixels and all other things may get extra bonuses but are judged by Staff.

Ranks
Since the Tearstones are much more straightforward than counting Shards, all you will need to do to record it is post the image in a new comment on either the facebook or deviantART image of the Tearstone. If there are multiple characters in the image, you will need to do this for each Aquine since every Aquine will earn the same amount of Tearstones. If an OC belongs to someone else, you can calculate the Shards and comment for them!

You will want to include the following:

Aquine Name: Put the name of the Aquine here.
Masterlist #: Put the number here
Aquine Image: Link an image of the Aquine
Base Tearstones: + 3
Event: Was it an event? If so say yes and include the bonus!
Scene: If your image has an Aquine interacting with its surroundings you get +2 Tearstones
