Special Items

Quinn: "Welcome to the 'special items' section of our Catalog! Items shown here aren't for sale and often are distributed through events, Quests, or earned in another way."

Crystal Shards

A small fragment from the Crystal Heart that lies in the Crystal Caves in Haven. Crystal Shards are the Aquine currency.

Earned through drawing Aquines, Crystal Shards (Or, Shards, for short) can be used to purchase items in the Marketplace as a "free" alternative to paying with deviantART points or real life cash. You can find out more about them and how to earn them by clicking the button above!

Currency

Tearstones

Tearstones are rewarded to Aquines themselves when they appear in an artwork or literature. They are never spent and will continue to be collected. When the Aquine has collected a certain amount of Tearstones they can rank up (or level up) and earn cool new rewards for not only the Aquine but the owner as well!

Lovestones

Information

Aquines cannot give birth like other species. They do not possess reproductive organs or the ability to have sex and thus cannot physically have children, however, in the week of Valentines, when love is at its strongest and magical energy fills the air, a couple holding a Lovestone are able to perform a special ritual that uses the Lovestone to soak up magical energy from the air and create newborn Aquines that inherit traits and appearances from the parents. It allows for same sex couples to have children, however after the ritual is complete, the Lovestone is considered useless and can not be used in a Valentines Ritual again.

Use of Item

Can be used to create children/baby Aquines from two parents of any gender that may inherit traits or design aspects from the parents.

How to obtain

Lovestones can be obtained randomly throughout the year (either during events or distributed by NPC Aquines) as well as more frequently closer to Valentines week.

Prompt Stone

Prompt Stones are given as rewards to everyone that participates in any prompt hosted by an Aquine Staff member. Not to be confused with Event Stones which give different rewards. Members that earn enough of these stones can join higher ranking Prompts later on!

Collected

Event Stone

Event Stones are collected and given out during events to everyone that participates! When you have collected enough of these gemstones, they can be taken to the sacred Crystal in Haven and transformed into a more rare type of Crystal (more information on this coming soon!)

Collected

Treasure Chests

Treasure Chests can be found during Quests, Events, Treasure Hunts and given out randomly by Staff. Whats inside is a mystery to everyone, however it could contain some very valuable loot, so stumbling upon one is a very rare find! You will also need a Golden Key to open one. These can be forged from Event Stones, also found through Quests, Events, Treasure Hunts and given out randomly by Staff and NPC's!

Unlockable Loot! Requires Key

Golden Key

Like Treasure Chests, Golden Keys can be found through special events, Quests, Treasure Hunts and given out by Staff or NPC's. They can also be forged from collecting enough Event Stones - exactly how many will be decided at a later date. They are used to open Treasure Chests and unlock the valuable loot within!
